This summer, the STARS Fellowship Program offered a new and exciting opportunity
for Hillsborough  County students and teachers. During the four hour camp from Monday
to Friday students and teachers met specialists, saw working labs, built self propelled cars,
and visited the Museum of Science and Industry (MOSI).  The camp included hands on activities
for students from second to fourth grade. Students’ activities involved subjects such as
biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering. With the students occupied in programs,
teachers were given the opportunity to ask Fellows about questions or concerns they
have while teaching various topics in their classroom. This was the first of many future
STAR Fellowship Camps that teachers, parents, and students hope to enjoy.
