Sustainability as defined by the Environmental Protection Agency is: meeting the needs of the present without compromising the ability of the future generations to meet their own needs. To achieve this goal the current generation has to understand how we are impacting the environment and what we can do to help. There are several aspects of sustainability, some of which are:
The summer camp will focus on the engineering and science behind "Going Green."
Green construction: How to use resources efficiently while creating 'greener' buildings

Energy: Alternative sources (solar and fuel cells)
Water: conservation and treatment
Materials: biodegradable materials; reduce, reuse, and recycle
Transportation: Efficient modes of transportation
Atmosphere: pollution reduction, air purification
Indoor Air Quality: efficient heating and air conditioning, sources of air pollutants and control
